More Bad News for Outlaw
Geplaatst op 11 oktober 2010 12:46 door CavaleraLast week we reported that the new Jimmy Smits series, 'Outlaw,' had been put on production hiatus.
NBC execs reportedly decided to wait and see if ratings improve over the next few weeks before going ahead and either axing the series or re-starting production .
Well, the viewing figures for Friday night's episode are in, and they don't bring good news. According to deadline.com, fewer people tuned in than the week before.
The legal drama attracted 4.2 miliion viewers, which is a decline of 11 percent from the previous week. And just to pile on the misery it again received a paltry 1.0 rating in the coveted age 18-49 demographic. To put it in perspective: Fellow newbie 'Blue Bloods,' which aired at the same time as 'Outlaw,' was watched by 11.1 million viewers and attracted a 1.8 rating.
Whether or not 'Outlaw' could have fared better had it aired on a different night or at a different time is starting to look moot. In the face of steadily falling ratings it's very possible that NBC will pull the plug earlier than had been anticipated. Stay tuned for further updates.
