Granny wants an apology from General Grant for attacking the Culpepper plantation. Colonel Blake wants Jethro for the army reserve but he has to take a written test first. After Jethro takes the oath, he sees General Grant and Colonel Blake talking. He hears General Grant say he’s going to attack the plantation again. Jethro tells Granny and she goes and shoots him off his horse again.
