Blade tells the Space Knights the story of how he became involved with the Venomoids. His real name is Ness Carter and his family was aboard the deep-space research vessel ""Argos"" when it encountered a strange alien craft near the rings of Saturn. Thrilled at the prospect of an encounter with extra-terrestrials, they boarded the vessel, only to be attacked by frightening creatures called Teknopods, which like the Terran plant called the Venus Fly Trap, swallowed them whole.
